Phase Design & Engineering Ltd was formed with the intention of producing credible and buildable E&P designs. The company brings a wealth of individual experience together to form a pragmatic engineering team that has extensive experience within E&P design, from a CEM, CRE and Principal Designer perspective. These past experiences allow Phase to offer logical and tangible solutions to clients’ design requirements, focusing on genuine buildability and industry best practices, with regards to standards, material sustainability and future-proofing.
At Phase Design & Engineering, we recognise that every design, at every site, will be different to account for the site specific requirements and challenges. We do however strive to approach each project, big or small, in a consistent way to ensure we supply a high-quality product that meets our clients' needs.

When issued with a scope of work for a new project, we take the time to analyse and evaluate the content to ensure that we have a clear understanding of the client’s anticipated outcome. This enables us to allocate the appropriate engineering resource to meet the project requirements and prepare for the next steps. Where no scope has been produced, Phase Design & Engineering can support the client by assisting in scope production.
Our surveys start at a desk. We use our detailed local knowledge alongside satellite imagery and record drawings to prepare and plan our on-site survey work. The appointed engineer will prepare and issue a survey plan to the client, detailing exactly what they will be surveying using our specialist surveying equipment. Where applicable, multi-disciplined surveys will be undertaken with engineers representing all disciplines collaborating on-site at the same time.
Our collaborative survey approach continues into and throughout our design process, ensuring that all requirements are appropriately considered. Safety is at the forefront of every design that we produce with Safe by Design principles adopted from the outset. Phase Design & Engineering benefits from having engineers with many years’ experience of the installation and maintenance of the assets that they design. We deem this facet of our offering to be one of the most important, enabling us to produce designs that are buildable, efficient and safe to maintain.
